The Academy-Award nominated animated short-film tells the story of a lonely inventor, whose colorless existence is brightened only by dreams of the carefree bliss of his youth. By day, he is trapped in a dehumanising job in a joyless world. But by night, he tinkers away on a visionary invention, desperate to translate his inspiration into something meaningful. When his invention is complete, it will change the way people see the world. But he will find that success comes at a high price, as it changes himself, as well.

The Present is short film animation that did very well on the festival circuit. It was Jacob Frey's graduation film from the famous Baden-Wurttemberg Film Academy in Germany, and is based on a comic strip by Brazilian artist Fabio Coala Cavalcanti. It tells the story of a boy who is stuck inside playing computer games despite it being a beautiful summer's day. In an effort to get him outside, his mother has bought him a present: a puppy. However, the puppy is missing a leg and the boy is disgusted by it. Will the lovable dog be able to win him over?

But Milk is Important is the graduation film from Norwegian animators Eirik Grønmo Bjørnsen and Anna Mantzaris (originally from Stockholm, Sweden.
Created at Volda University College in Norway, the short stop-motion animation delves into the world of social anxiety and mental illness in a soft, surreal and, at times, humorous way. It follows a man suffering with a social anxiety, who after a particularly vicious anxiety attack awakens to find a strange creature in his apartment. Why is he here? What does he want?

ANYA a five-minute he animated short film charting twenty years in the life of a Russian orphan, is the end result of 14 months, Irish production company Brown Bag Films created the computer animated short “Anya” to help raise funds for the charity,to Russia With Love, an organization in Dublin that provides Russian orphans with healthcare and education.
The moving short follows the life of a young girl after arriving at an orphanage via train on a snowy night.The bulk of animation was done at Infinite Studios in Singapore,twice Oscar nominated.

He is a 12 years old boy, who works in a garbage dump and lives in the slum along with his mother. Both have different ideologies towards life. He is a staunch believer of being positive and has a dream of spreading smiles. But, his mother is a frustrated woman. While working, he finds a digital camera in the dump. His friend tells him that people smile whenever you point it towards them. He soon realises the same and gets all thrilled to spread smiles including his mother. Unfortunately, the camera gets lost and all his dreams get shattered. What happens next is the core of the film.

Wrapped is a graduation short film from Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg to students Roman Kälin, Falko Paeper, Florian Wittmann, which uses CGI and time-lapse shorts to shows a busy thriving world being taken over by bacteria, fungi and then weeds and branches that slowly weaken and collapse the giant structures of the world.

Le Gouffre is the first animated short film produced and directed by Lightning Boy Studio, created by animators Carl Beauchemin, Thomas Chrétien, and David Forest, a young creative team based in Montreal. The film tells the story of two spirited travelers who come across an incredibly wide chasm on their journey and decide to build a bridge to cross it. Released in February 2015, the project had first gained a lot of attention following the huge success of its Kickstarter campaign, which allowed the creators to finance the movie’s post-production.

Wire Cutters is a short animated film created by artist Jack Anderson. It concerns two robots who run into each other while mining on a desolate planet and then fight over their minerals. The film introduces a lovable rover character that is a charming mix, but Unfortunately greed comes into play and both forget that sharing is caring.
This 7-minute short film was created by Jack Anderson and served as his thesis in Digital Arts at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. and he said he did it with a “$0 budget but thousands of hours of love and about a YEAR of rendering.
