But Milk is Important is the graduation film from Norwegian animators Eirik Grønmo Bjørnsen and Anna Mantzaris (originally from Stockholm, Sweden. Created at Volda University College in Norway, the short stop-motion animation delves into the world of social anxiety and mental illness in a soft, surreal and, at times, humorous way. It follows a man suffering with a social anxiety, who after a particularly vicious anxiety attack awakens to find a strange creature in his apartment. Why is he here? What does he want?

The old man’s bed was next to the room’s only window. The blinded man spent his days lying on his back.

La Luna (The Moon)

la luna is a 2011 Pixar animated short film, directed and written by Enrico Casarosa; was released on November 13, 2012. La Luna was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. The short film starts with a young child, Bambino, which is experiencing his very first night accompanying his father and grandfather as they paddle out into the sea beneath a full moon, in an old wooden boat they row far out to sea. Then as a full moon rises, grandfather gives Bambino an anchor and his dad pulls out a long ladder.

With A Piece Of Chalk !

The short film « With A Piece Of Chalk » carries an inspiring message about finding happiness through struggling and diligence, and overcoming big difficulties to realize the dreams. The film comes in more than three minutes, telling the story of a little boy named “Justin”. The sad boy who is harassed at school and ignored by his family, finds a way to change his unstable life. He discovers his talent through which he faces hardship, succeeds in proving himself, and realizes his dream! This film was produced in 2012.
